Gingerbread Festival
“Run, run as fast as you can!” It’s time to lace up your running shoes and take on the Foxes at Dysart Park! This exciting and lighthearted race is inspired by the classic fairy tale and is perfect for families, children, and anyone who wants to join in the fun.
With race categories for different age groups, everyone can take part — whether you’re a speedy sprinter or prefer a leisurely jog. The course is set within the beautiful surroundings of Dysart Park, creating the perfect atmosphere for a day of laughter, movement, and community spirit.
Prizes will be awarded for the fastest finishers as well as other bonus awards throughout the day.
Beyond the races themselves, the day will be packed with fun activities for the whole family. Expect face painting, games and activities for little ones and stalls selling locally produced goods. There will also be food stalls selling warm drinks, delicious lunches, and, of course, plenty of gingerbread goodies!
This event is all about encouraging an active lifestyle while having loads of fun, and we’re delighted to be partnering once again with with Inspire+. Whether you’re taking part in the race or cheering from the sidelines, it’s a fantastic way to enjoy the park and bring the community together.
Family Fun Day
Get ready for a day packed with excitement, laughter, and unforgettable memories at Dysart Park’s Family Fun Day! This annual event is all about bringing the community together for a fantastic day filled with entertainment, activities, and fun for all ages.
As you step into the park, you’ll be greeted by the sights and sounds of a classic funfair atmosphere. Expect rides for the adventurous, bouncy castles for little ones, and plenty of traditional fairground games where you can test your skills and win prizes!
But the fun doesn’t stop there—our live entertainment arena will host an incredible line-up of performers and musicians throughout the day – there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
For those who love to browse, our market stalls will be filled with unique crafts, handmade gifts, and delicious local produce. Whether you’re looking for a special treat or just want to explore, there’s plenty to discover.
Of course, no fun day would be complete without delicious food! Enjoy a fantastic selection of food vendors serving everything from tasty street food to sweet treats. Whether you’re in the mood for burgers, ice cream, or something a little different, you won’t go hungry!
Families can also take part in interactive workshops, craft activities, and special guest appearances from beloved characters. The event is designed to be accessible, family-friendly, and full of joy, making it a perfect way to spend the day with loved ones.

Family Fun Jazz Festival
After the huge success of our first Jazz Day in 2024, we’re so pleased to be able to keep this event going!
Looking for a relaxed, feel-good day out with family and friends? Family Fun Jazz Day at Dysart Park is the perfect blend of live music, great food, and family-friendly entertainment, all set against the stunning backdrop of our beautiful park.
This event is all about soaking up the last of the summer vibes while enjoying the smooth sounds of live jazz performances. From classic swing to upbeat big band numbers, our talented musicians will bring a lively yet laid-back atmosphere that will have you tapping your feet and dancing along!
As you stroll through the event, you’ll find plenty of activities for all ages. Families can enjoy arts and crafts, interactive stalls, and fun games. Whether you’re an avid jazz fan or just looking for a unique day out, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Feeling hungry? Our food and drink stalls will be serving up delicious treats, from gourmet street food to refreshing summer drinks. Bring a picnic blanket or your camping chairs and find a comfy spot to relax while you take in the music, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy a leisurely afternoon.
